Graaphics review
Keeping a finger on the pulse when it comes to social media content isn’t always a guarantee. We’re a video and social agency and we don’t always get it right, but there are some useful approaches you can take which will speed up the creative process. Graaphics is one such tool, a one-stop-shop for high-end social media graphics and designs!
Similar to Canva, Graaphics is a design service packed full of templates and inspiration. It bears the brunt of the creative load, so you can worry about the messaging finesse. You can signup for free, this package allows for seven downloads a month, or you can get a paid package that gives you unlimited downloads. This will set you back a pretty minor £2.90 a month (£1.70 a month if you pay annually!) So this will depend on your social needs. If you’re just trying it out, we recommend utilising the template features first and testing out its highly intuitive customisation. Simply go to the top right corner of the screen, and click ‘Create design’. Pick out a template at random, or one that actually suits your needs, and use the options on the right-hand side to make your amends. Manipulating windows and layers is a little restrictive, but you can just build a post from scratch in this case. Text and background editing is straightforward and actually almost fun, Graaphic’s catalogue of backgrounds, colours and gradients is so extensive, we anticipate you’ll never make the same design twice - unless you do that deliberately of course.
Obviously, you will need to consider where these images are going, i.e. IG feed post. IG story etc. as this will determine the dimensions your design will need to be in, the most common two you will likely be using is 1:1 (square for feed posts) or 9:16 (full phone screen for stories). Building content specific for these dimensions is essential for the quality and context of your posts achieving the desired effect. Graaphics helps with this, at the bottom of each design window, is the dimensions option, watch as your design is adjusted to fit its desired platform, seamless and incredibly simple. There are over 20 different fonts to choose from, and you can adjust the size and softness of the text boxes, so you’re info posts can be highly varied, or you can find the perfect house style for your brand. Graaphics cut out quite a lot of middlemen to give you the control, and hopefully, the confidence to design your social posts to the standard your brand deserves. Seven free downloads a month, or unlimited for less than £3 a month is brilliant, and we couldn’t recommend it enough. All it lacks is a collaboration tool like Canva, but who knows, this could be a feature down the line!
