Episode 21: Finding and telling the stories

On this week’s episode of the Clever Content Podcast I join Iain to discuss favourite documentaries, challenger bank ads and have a great chat with John Offord, a fantastic producer, director and broadcaster.

I’ve know John for many years and he has worked extensively with the BBC on some brilliant projects. That includes his 2018 radio documentary, The Sounds of Windrush, which explored the musical influence of the Windrush generation on the UK.

We also asked John about his career so far, the importance of getting to know and work with the right people, and how an idea gets turned into a completed piece of work. He gave us some great insight into what it takes to create video and audio content that covers some challenging topics.

In the GoodBad (or whatever it’s called) section of the show, we compared the recent video ads for two of the UK’s biggest challenger banks: Monzo and Starling. You can take a look at them yourself via the links in the show notes below.

That’s it! Another episode in the can – I hope you enjoy it and don’t forget that you can always send us your thoughts and feedback.
