Episode 19: Get Online Week
Episode 19 of the Clever Content Podcast has landed! This week, Iain and Tom chat to Chris Andersson, Communications and Campaigns Manager at Good Things Foundation, the UK’s largest social and digital inclusion charity.
There are 5.3 million people who have never been online in the UK and 11.9 million people who don’t have essential digital skills. Chris and the Good Things Foundation team are about to tackle the issue with the organisation’s annual Get Online Week campaign, which takes place 14–20 October.
But how do you reach an audience who is mostly offline? What kind of barriers do those people face and how do you engage them? What messaging works well and which should you avoid? In a world of big brands and always-on campaigns, it’s really interesting to hear Chris talk about the kind of content challenges that come with tackling digital inclusion.
